Pack and Ship Your Fuji Xerox Machine

WARNING

When you move the machine, grasp the side handholds that are under the scanner. DO NOT carry the machine by holding it at the bottom.

  • If for any reason you must ship your machine, carefully repack the machine in the original packaging to avoid any damage during transit. The machine should be adequately insured with the carrier.
  1. Press and hold to turn off the machine. Leave the machine turned off for at least 10 minutes to cool down.
  2. Disconnect all the cables, and then unplug the power cord from the electrical socket.

    The machine is equipped with a non-detachable AC power cord depending on the model.

  3. Remove the toner cartridge and drum unit assembly.
  4. Push down the green lock lever and take the toner cartridge out of the drum unit.
  5. Put the protective material on the toner cartridge. Put it in a plastic bag.
  6. Put the protective material (1) in the machine to the left as shown in the illustration.
  7. Install only the drum unit back into the machine.
  8. Close the front cover.
  9. Put the machine into the bag it originally came in.
  10. Pack the machine and the printed materials in the original carton with the original packing material as shown below.

    (For detachable AC power cord models)

    Put the AC power cord and printed materials in the original carton as shown in the illustration.

  11. Close the carton and tape it shut.
