Make N in 1 Copies Using the Page Layout Feature

The N in 1 copy feature saves paper by copying two or four pages of your document onto one page of the copy.
If you are copying from the ADF, insert the documents face up in the direction as shown below:
  • 2 in 1 (P)

  • 2 in 1 (L)

  • 4 in 1 (P)

  • 4 in 1 (L)

If you are copying from the scanner glass, place the document face down in the direction as shown below:
  • 2 in 1 (P)

  • 2 in 1 (L)

  • 4 in 1 (P)

  • 4 in 1 (L)

  1. Load your document.
  2. Do one of the following:

    • DocuPrint M225 z

      Press (Copy).

      Use the dial pad to enter the number of copies you want.

    • DocuPrint M225 dw

      Press or to enter the number of copies you want.

  3. Press Options.
  4. Press or to select Page Layout, and then press OK.
  5. Press or to select Off(1 in 1), 2 in 1 (P), 2 in 1 (L), 4 in 1 (P) or 4 in 1 (L), and then press OK.
  6. Press Start.
    If you placed the document in the ADF, the machine scans the pages and starts printing.
    If you are using the scanner glass, go to the next step.
  7. Repeat the following steps for each page of the layout:
    • DocuPrint M225 z
      1. After the machine scans the page, press 1 to scan the next page.
      2. Place the next page on the scanner glass, and then press OK to scan the page.
    • DocuPrint M225 dw
      1. After the machine scans the page, press to select the Yes option.
      2. Place the next page on the scanner glass, and then press OK to scan the page.
  8. After scanning all the pages, do one of the following:
    • DocuPrint M225 z

      Press 2 to select the No option.

    • DocuPrint M225 dw

      Press to select the No option.

DocuPrint M265 z

  1. Load your document.
  2. Press (Copy).
  3. Enter the number of copies.
  4. Press Options.
  5. Press or to display the Page Layout option, and then press Page Layout.
  6. Press or to select the Off(1in1), 2in1(P), 2in1(L), 4in1(P) or 4in1(L) option, and then press the option you want to set.
  7. When finished, press OK.
  8. Press Start. If you placed the document in the ADF, the machine scans the pages and starts printing.
    If you are using the scanner glass, go to the next step.
  9. Repeat the following steps for each page of the layout:
    1. After the machine scans the page, press Yes to scan the next page.
    2. Place the next page on the scanner glass, and then press OK to scan the page.
  10. When finished, press No to finish.
